Final PWCA Board Vote on Sidewalk Recommendation – Monday, Oct. 30th, 7:30pm

On Monday, October 30th, at 7:30pm, in the lower level auditorium of the Penn Wynne Presbyterian Church (enter through the red door at the rear of the church), the board of the Penn Wynne Civic Association will take a yes/no vote on whether to make the following recommendation to the Lower Merion Township Board of Commissioners:

The Penn Wynne Civic Association supports the construction of a sidewalk along the northeast side of Trent Road between Suffolk Lane and Remington Road, by whatever means the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners chooses, so long as Trent Road remains a two way street.

Only the board of the Civic Association will be voting, but the meeting is open to the public and all interested parties are welcome to attend. Please note that there will be no time set aside for discussion or public comment. Sidewalk construction has already been discussed at length at public meetings on October 5th and August 2nd. The meeting agenda is limited to the vote itself. We expect the meeting to be brief so we will make every attempt to start promptly.

The township Board of Commissioners will next be meeting on Wednesday, November 15th, at 7:30pm at the Township Administration Building, 2nd Floor Board Room. At that time they may take up this issue. As the Civic Association has no power to decide the issue, just to make a recommendation, we encourage interested parties to bring their concerns about the sidewalk construction, either pro or con, to the Township Board of Commissioners and to appear at meetings of the Board of Commissioners.
